How we publish
Our sources, use of AI, and how to raise a correction.
Who publishes this newsroom
DriveAgent publishes automotive news and analysis alongside its automotive software business. This is a commercial publisher, and our coverage should be read in that context. Our intended audience includes Australian dealerships and automotive professionals.
Research and attribution
Our automated pipeline uses Perplexity to discover topics and research sources. Articles link to the material supporting their claims. We prioritise official announcements, regulators and original datasets, with independent corroboration for researched news. An additional automated check reviews factual claims and looks for material omissions across the retrieved source extracts before publication. It assesses each retrieved page for relevant findings, optional context, repeated reporting or unrelated material. Evidence-backed material gaps trigger a revision; unresolved gaps hold publication. We do not require an arbitrary number of citations or treat repeated reporting as independent confirmation. These checks can make mistakes; publication is not a guarantee of accuracy and does not imply human review.
Government data briefs identify their dataset and reporting period. A monthly release is not a daily registration count. External headlines collected by ADME link readers to the original publisher.
Source context and ratings
The Sources & context panel distinguishes manufacturers, news publishers, retailers and other documented source roles. “Why these labels?” links to the identity reference and shows when it was checked. Unknown roles remain unassigned. These labels describe who publishes the material, not whether they are reliable, independent of the subject or politically aligned.
Source mix counts distinct pages cited in the article body. Repeated citations, URL fragments, common campaign-tracking parameters and www aliases do not count as additional pages. The main source list contains those cited pages, preserving their citation numbers and combining aliases of the same page. Older articles may also have a collapsed “Other collected links” list; those links are not counted as supporting evidence and their presence does not establish that they were read or relevant. The website breakdown shows how many cited pages each site contributes. Publisher sites are counted separately; different sites can share ownership or repeat the same original announcement. The counts do not measure independent confirmations or the completeness of all reporting on a topic.
Saved research extracts records how many cited pages have retained-text metadata. Shortened extracts reached our text limit; other extracts can still omit page content. The displayed retrieval dates cover the saved cited-page records, using the newest record when the same page has aliases. Missing metadata means availability was not recorded here, not that a source is false or was never consulted. Retrieval dates describe the saved research snapshot, not a fresh check of the page today. Citation counts and section names show how our report uses a source, not that every claim has independent support.
Political leaning, editorial stance and publisher reliability are not currently rated. We do not infer these from a source’s role or assign an AI confidence percentage as a truth score. Any future automated assessments will be identified and explained separately. Source-context labels do not change our publication checks.
Facts and analysis
We distinguish confirmed developments from our interpretation, and identify material uncertainty about Australian availability, pricing and timing. Evidence and originality take priority over publication volume. Public campaign visibility does not establish advertising spend or performance.
Advertising and funding
Display advertisements are labelled “Advertisement” and link to the advertiser’s approved destination. A placement is a commercial message, not an editorial recommendation. Booking or changing a campaign does not change an article, its sources or its publication checks. Coverage and corrections are handled separately from advertising.
Campaign reports distinguish selected artwork, rendered images, measured viewability and routed clicks. These are browser-reported delivery measurements; they do not establish unique readers, human attention, leads or sales. Enquire about advertising.
Illustrations
Some images are AI-generated illustrations, while others are conceptual editorial graphics. Article captions identify these images and provide reference links where available. Illustrations are not photographs of an event and may differ from production vehicles. A reference link identifies source material; it does not imply endorsement.
Corrections and withdrawals
To report an error, email [email protected] with the article URL, the disputed claim and supporting evidence. This is the website’s existing contact address.
Authorised administrators can withdraw an article while an issue is investigated. Withdrawn articles are removed from public listings and feeds; their URLs show a withdrawal notice. Administrative withdrawals and restorations require a recorded reason. Published and updated timestamps appear on article pages.
