2027 Zeekr 7X export-market facelift revealed in Paris with more power and range, Australian timing unclear

Zeekr has shown an updated 7X at the Paris motor show with up to 500kW, revised styling and a Bosch driver-assistance system for Europe – but the export version skips China's new 85kWh battery and 900V electrical system, and Zeekr Australia has yet to confirm local timing.

Paris reveal: an export facelift that diverges from China

An upgraded 2027 Zeekr 7X has been revealed at the Paris motor show, with the version bound for Europe – and, according to CarExpert, likely Australia – differing from the one offered in China. Rather than the 900V electrical system adopted by 100kWh Chinese-market 7X variants late last year, the entire European-market 2027 lineup will stick with an 800V system. European customers are due to receive the updated mid-size electric SUV during the first quarter of 2027. 16

German EV outlet goingelectric.de reports the revised 7X was shown at the Paris salon with Bosch assistance systems, refreshed design and up to 450kW of charging in the LFP base version, with deliveries planned from the first quarter of 2027. Swiss outlet vybe.ch likewise describes the European update as bringing Bosch assistance technology and a new centre console, and says the base model charges from 10 to 80 per cent in 10.5 minutes. 64

In China, Zeekr is launching a separate 7X update later this year. CarExpert reports Zeekr has not specified all the changes for the Chinese version, though it has confirmed a new 85kWh 'Golden Brick' battery pack. Zeekr Australia has been contacted to confirm when the next 7X update will be introduced locally. 1

Power, torque and range up across the European range

Rear-drive European 7Xs receive a bump in power and torque to 335kW and 520Nm, up 25kW and 80Nm respectively, according to CarExpert. That cuts the claimed 0-100km/h time from 6.0 seconds to between 5.5 and 5.6 seconds depending on the variant. The dual-motor all-wheel drive powertrain now produces 500kW and 790Nm, also up 25kW and 80Nm, with 0-100km/h taking 3.7 seconds, down from 3.8 seconds. 1

European-market 7Xs will continue with a choice of 75kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) and 100kWh nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) batteries, chargeable at up to 450kW and 420kW on DC power respectively, and up to 22kW on AC. While the batteries and charge rates are unchanged, WLTP range has increased to 482km and 627km for single-motor rear-drive variants, up from 480km and 615km. The all-wheel drive variant gains 2km to 545km. 1

goingelectric.de lists the same three-variant European structure – Core RWD with the 75kWh LFP pack, Long Range RWD with the 100kWh NMC pack, and the 500kW Privilege AWD – and notes Zeekr's range and consumption figures are preliminary and subject to final WLTP homologation, with provisional combined energy consumption of 17.8 to 20.5kWh/100km. The outlet reports the 75kWh LFP version charges from 10 to 80 per cent in 10.5 minutes and the 100kWh versions in 15 minutes, under suitable conditions and compatible high-power chargers. 6

Bosch assistance tech and modest visual changes

Zeekr says the updated 7X uses a new Bosch-based driver-assistance system powered by seven cameras and three radar units, supporting features such as fingertip and remote parking assist. goingelectric.de adds that the system supports adaptive speed control and automatic parking triggered by a fingertip, with remote parking via the Zeekr app requiring at least Digital Key 3.0 and a compatible Apple iOS device. 16

Visually the changes are minor: new front and rear bumpers, with the rear number plate moved to the tailgate, per CarExpert. Glacier Silver and Mystic Lilac will join the exterior colour palette in the first quarter of 2027, along with new-design 21-inch alloy wheels. Interior changes centre on a redesigned centre console with a sliding cover set level with the dual wireless phone charging pads, for a lower, flatter look. Many of these visual changes already appeared on the updated Chinese-market 7X last year. 1

China's separate update: 85kWh 'Golden Brick' battery confirmed in filings

The Chinese-market 2027 7X is due during the fourth quarter of 2026, and a filing published by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) reveals it will continue with a 370kW electric motor while gaining the new 85kWh 'Golden Brick' battery pack, according to CarExpert's report on the government filings. The filing shows the vehicle has received no exterior changes, and it is not yet clear whether the 85kWh variant will replace the base model or slot into the current lineup. 5

Zeekr claims the latest battery technology can last up to one million kilometres and as many as 3500 charging cycles, though the driving range and charge rate for the 85kWh battery have yet to be published. Like the existing 75kWh pack, the new 85kWh battery uses lithium iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry, while the current 100kWh battery uses nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC). The filing also indicates an Event Data Recorder will be integrated into the updated Chinese model. 53

For context, CarExpert has previously reported that the Chinese-market 7X moved to a 900V system for its larger battery at about the time the older 800V-equipped range launched in Australia, with Chinese media reporting DC charge rates of 420kW and 620kW for the 75kWh and 103kWh packs. Chinese rear-drive 7Xs produce 370kW and 535Nm and the dual-motor flagship 585kW and 812Nm, against 310kW/440Nm and 475kW/710Nm in Australian-delivered cars. 35

Where Australia stands

Nothing has been confirmed by Zeekr Australia at this stage, CarExpert notes, though it is possible the Geely-owned brand could skip a cycle when the electric SUV is eventually updated locally. The current Australian 2026 7X line-up spans Base, Long Range, Performance and Black Edition variants, with drive-away pricing from $62,913 to $81,813 based on a Sydney location, according to CarExpert's showroom data. 52

The 7X has proven extremely popular since its Australian launch late in 2025. To the end of September, Zeekr Australia has delivered 10,800 7Xs this year – behind the Tesla Model Y (35,930), BYD Sealion 7 (19,964) and the significantly cheaper Geely EX5 (12,745), but ahead of every other mid-size electric SUV, per CarExpert. 1

Zeekr's European momentum

goingelectric.de reports the 7X is Zeekr's most important model in Europe and the brand's best-seller on the continent, with more than 200,000 vehicles of the series produced worldwide. Zeekr says it delivered three times as many vehicles in Europe from January to September 2026 as in the same period a year earlier, now operates in 22 European markets and plans to grow its dealer network to 200 sites by the end of 2026. 6

In Germany, where Zeekr has been present since December 2025, goingelectric.de reports the facelifted 7X is due on the market in October 2026 with first customer deliveries in the first quarter of 2027; Zeekr has not yet announced prices, with further details to come at market launch. For Australia, CarExpert notes it has contacted Zeekr Australia and local timing remains unconfirmed. 61
