Škoda Australia has launched a national advertising campaign supporting the arrival of the Enyaq RS, which the company describes as its most powerful production vehicle to date. The 'How Should Fast Feel?' campaign went live nationally on September 22, 2026, running across television, digital, social media and outdoor channels, and positions performance as a combination of speed, comfort, confidence and everyday usability rather than acceleration alone, according to AutoTalk Australia. ¹

Škoda's own campaign microsite carries the same framing, stating that the all-electric Enyaq RS offers 250kW, all-wheel drive and 0-100km/h in 5.4 seconds in both SUV and Coupé body styles, alongside an RS-specific sports chassis and progressive steering. Škoda Australia brand director Lucie Kuhn told AutoTalk Australia that performance 'has always been an important part of the RS story, but it's only one part of what defines an RS model', adding that performance should inspire confidence while remaining comfortable and enjoyable to use every day. ¹⁶

Performance and equipment of the facelifted Enyaq RS

The updated Enyaq RS gains a front-mounted electric motor over the 85 Sportline, giving it dual-motor all-wheel drive with a combined system output of 250kW and a quoted 0-100km/h time of 5.4 seconds, according to GoAuto's August 2026 review. That publication lists torque at 545Nm from the rear motor plus 134Nm from the front unit. AutoTalk Australia likewise reports a 5.4-second 0-100km/h claim for the dual-motor powertrain. ⁷¹

Battery and range figures vary across reports for the new RS. GoAuto's August 2026 review cites an 82kWh gross/77kWh net NMC battery with claimed WLTP range of 546km for the SUV and 557km for the Coupé. Its earlier March 2026 pricing report listed an 84/79kWh (gross/net) battery with 523km (SUV) and 534km (Coupé) claimed ranges, plus 11kW AC and 185kW DC charging with a roughly 26-minute 10-80 per cent charge time. AutoTalk Australia describes the battery as 82kWh with a claimed WLTP range of up to 668km, a figure higher than those in GoAuto's reports. The latest dated GoAuto figures are presented here as the most recent published position, with the discrepancies unresolved in the available sources. ⁷⁴¹

Standard equipment reported for the RS includes RS-specific styling with 21-inch wheels, matrix LED headlights, dynamic chassis control adaptive suspension, a 13-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a five-inch digital instrument cluster, leather seats, ventilated front seats, a 12-speaker Canton sound system, and a panoramic glass roof (opening in the SUV, fixed in the Coupé), per GoAuto. The RS also gains a hands-free electric tailgate and, relative to the Sportline, an illuminated 'tech deck' face standard on both body styles. GoAuto notes that the vehicles it tested were 2026 model year specification and did not carry the 2027 model year additions such as a 21-litre frunk, one-pedal driving, traffic sign recognition and 25W MagSafe wireless charging, which apply to the wider Enyaq range. ⁷

Pricing, rivals and availability

Pricing has moved across announcements. In March 2026, GoAuto reported Škoda had confirmed Australian pricing for the new Enyaq RS at $75,490 plus on-road costs for the SUV, with the Coupé adding $1000, and arrival slated for mid-2026. Its August 2026 review instead lists the facelifted Enyaq RS at $76,590 plus ORCs for the SUV and $77,590 plus ORCs for the Coupé. No drive-away pricing is stated in either report. GoAuto lists the Enyaq RS against the Tesla Model Y Performance ($89,400 plus ORCs), Polestar 4 Dual Motor AWD ($86,350 plus ORCs), BYD Sealion 7 Performance AWD ($63,990 plus ORCs) and the related Volkswagen ID.5 GTX AWD ($72,990 plus ORCs). Škoda Australia's pre-facelift Enyaq RS launched in 2024 from $83,990 plus ORCs, so the facelifted Coupé RS sits well below its predecessor, consistent with GoAuto's March 2026 note that the updated coupe model is some $7500 cheaper than the original. ⁷⁵⁴

Sales expectations and market context

Škoda Australia director Lucie Kuhn told GoAuto at a New Zealand media event in August 2026 that she expects 50 per cent of Enyaq sales in Australia to be the RS flagship. RS heritage and the Enyaq RS Race concept

Škoda's campaign material traces the RS badge to 1974, when the 180 RS and 200 RS rally prototypes first carried the Rally Sport letters, with the 200 RS capable of up to 240km/h. The 130 RS followed in 1975, taking a class 1-2 finish at the 1977 Monte Carlo Rally and the 1981 European Touring Car Championship manufacturers' title, before the Octavia RS brought the badge to road cars in 2000 and the Kodiaq RS added seven-seat practicality in 2018. Škoda says the Enyaq became the first fully electric member of the RS family in 2022, and GoAuto similarly notes the RS moniker was first used in 1974 and forms part of the brand's 125-year motorsport history. ⁶⁷

Driven Car Guide's first drive of the facelifted Enyaq RS in New Zealand, priced from NZ$99,000 there, found it 'impressively brisk' with 0-100km/h in 5.4 seconds, strong traction and an engaging rear-biased power delivery, though it notes the RS is almost certainly the heaviest RS ever made at nearly 2.4 tonnes. In that market, offline-spec Enyaqs cannot be packaged with the full Progressive Steering and DCC adaptive chassis package, so the NZ RS has a more basic steering setup and sits 15mm lower than standard; the reviewer still described the RS as looking like good value against the NZ$89,000 Sportline 85 given the extra motor, 21-inch wheels and snazzier interior. These findings apply to the New Zealand-market specification and may not match Australian equipment. ⁸

How the Australian RS arrives in its line-up

The current Enyaq RS is not the nameplate's first appearance in Australia. GoAuto records that the pre-facelift Enyaq arrived in 2024 in Sportline and RS Coupé guises, that the RS was absent when the facelifted Enyaq launched in Australia in late 2025, and that the updated range introduced the SUV body style alongside the Coupé. With its post-facelift return in 2026, the Enyaq RS sits at the top of Škoda's medium electric SUV range above the 85 Sportline, joining the Octavia RS and Kodiaq RS in the local performance line-up, according to GoAuto and AutoTalk Australia. ³⁷¹
