Hybrid power meets high-performance
The Touareg R eHybrid is engineered to deliver the best of both worlds – the efficiency of electric driving with the thrilling performance of a high-powered SUV. Under the hood, its 340kW plug-in hybrid powertrain generates a combined 700Nm of torque, making it the most powerful production Volkswagen ever built.
Perfect for urban commutes and short trips, the 100kW electric motor gets the Touareg R cruising more than 50km on pure electric power1. When the 3.0L turbocharged V6 kicks in, it transforms the ride and takes the SUV from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.1 seconds2 – delivering V8-like performance with an impressive fuel efficiency of 3.0L/100km.
Whether navigating city streets or embarking on long-distance journeys, the Touareg R delivers a smooth and powerful ride. In Sport mode, the air suspension sharpens response, lowering the SUV for a more planted feel. It strikes the perfect balance between power and precision, making every drive more engaging.
An interior designed with luxury in mind
Inside, the Touareg R eHybrid is as refined as it is powerful. The premium R-specific trim creates an atmosphere of luxury, enhanced by a 12.3-inch Digital Cockpit Display and a 15-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. A panoramic glass sunroof floods the cabin with natural light, while four-zone air conditioning ensures that every passenger travels in comfort and style.
