2027 Audi Q6 e-tron and SQ6 e-tron get lower Australian prices

Prices for the 2027 range

Audi Australia has announced lower prices and additional standard equipment for its 2027 Q6 e-tron and SQ6 e-tron electric SUVs. The Q6 e-tron SUV and Sportback will each start at $89,900, while the SQ6 SUV will cost $129,900 and the SQ6 Sportback $134,900. These are manufacturer list prices, excluding dealer delivery and government charges. CarExpert reports that the announced 2027 line-up comprises these four variants. ⁵²

Published comparisons differ on the size of the cuts because they use different outgoing list prices. CarExpert reports reductions of $9918 for each Q6 body style and $21,418 for each SQ6, using an outgoing Q6 SUV price of $99,818 and SQ6 SUV price of $151,318, both before on-road costs. GoAuto instead lists the earlier Q6 starting price as $99,900 and describes the reductions as $10,000 for the Q6 and $21,500 for the SQ6. The publications agree on the new prices, but their different outgoing figures leave the exact like-for-like reduction unresolved. ²³

CarExpert puts the Q6’s new starting price level with the new-generation BMW iX3 and below the $110,000 starting price it reports for the Mercedes-Benz GLC electric, all before on-road costs. Audi says its pricing is intended to help eligible customers access EV incentives. CarExpert reports a $91,661 luxury car tax threshold for fuel-efficient vehicles, but notes that a $89,900 list price alone does not establish a vehicle’s tax treatment: dealer delivery and certain other fees count towards its luxury car tax value. ²⁵

Standard equipment

The 2027 rear-wheel-drive Q6 gains metallic paint, a panoramic sunroof and 20-inch Audi Sport alloy wheels as standard. CarExpert says the current entry model has 19-inch wheels, while the roof is a $3600 standalone option and most metallic colours cost another $2000. The SUV also gains black roof rails; Audi lists a powered tailgate with gesture operation and programmable opening height. ⁵²

Audi lists heated, electrically adjustable leather-appointed front sports seats, three-zone climate control, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a cooled wireless phone charger. AutoTalk reports an 11.9-inch instrument display, 14.5-inch central screen and 10.9-inch passenger display. Listed driver-assistance and parking equipment includes adaptive cruise assistance with lane centring, emergency braking, 360-degree cameras, park assist plus and a front-facing dash camera. ⁵¹³

The SQ6 builds on that equipment with adaptive air suspension, 21-inch wheels, red brake callipers and configurable digital OLED tail-lights. Audi also lists massaging front seats, an augmented-reality head-up display and a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system. GoAuto specifies that the SQ6’s black exterior styling package applies to vehicles produced from October 2026. ⁵³

Powertrains, charging and range

The 2027 Q6 retains a single rear-mounted motor producing 185kW and 450Nm, with power rising temporarily to 215kW under launch control. Audi quotes 0–100km/h in 7.6 seconds in regular operation or 7.0 seconds with launch control. Its battery has 83kWh gross and 75.8kWh usable capacity. DC charging peaks at 225kW; AutoTalk reports Audi’s claim that a 10–80 per cent charge takes slightly more than 20 minutes under suitable conditions. ⁵¹³

The all-wheel-drive SQ6 retains two motors producing a combined 360kW, or 380kW with launch control, and a 100kWh battery with 94.9kWh usable capacity. Audi quotes 4.3 seconds for 0–100km/h and a 270kW DC charging peak; GoAuto reports a claimed 10–80 per cent charge time of 21 minutes. CarExpert says Audi has not confirmed driving-range figures for the 2027 models, including whether the Q6’s larger standard wheels affect its claimed range. ⁵³²

Separate MY26 sport edition offer

Ahead of the 2027 arrivals, Audi is offering the MY26 Q6 e-tron sport edition for immediate delivery. It adds 20-inch wheels, metallic paint and a panoramic sunroof to the existing Q6 specification. Audi’s article and AutoTalk both give a recommended $95,900 drive-away price for the SUV and Sportback, with orders taken until October 2026 while stocks last. That drive-away price is a different basis from the 2027 cars’ list prices before on-road costs. ⁵¹

Audi’s published offer details are internally inconsistent. A later passage in its article says $95,500 drive-away for both body styles, while the $95,900 footnote specifies a new MY26 Q6 SUV e-tron sport with metallic paint and does not specify the Sportback. The footnote limits that offer to private buyers at participating dealers outside Western Australia, for vehicles purchased and delivered between 1 September and 31 December 2026, while stocks last. It excludes government, fleet and rental buyers and cannot be combined with other offers. Audi’s article does not reconcile the two amounts or clarify the Sportback’s conditions. ⁵

Timing and earlier Q6 context

The 2027 Q6 and SQ6 are available to order, with Australian deliveries planned for the first half of 2027; CarExpert and GoAuto report production starting in October 2026. CarExpert says the announcement did not set out replacements for the existing longer-range Q6 e-tron performance or dual-motor Q6 e-tron quattro variants. GoAuto reports a five-year vehicle warranty for the Q6 and SQ6 range. ⁵²³

In its November 2025 review of the earlier rear-wheel-drive Q6, Chasing Cars measured 15.3kWh/100km on a mixed driving loop and found its passive-suspension ride firm, while praising cabin refinement. Those are findings for the car tested, not a driving-range or ride-quality result for the incoming 2027 specification. CarExpert notes that the new 20-inch wheels replace the earlier entry model’s 19-inch wheels. ⁴²
