2027 Honda Accord e:HEV RS priced at $65,900 drive-away for Australia, up $1,000

The refreshed 2027 Accord e:HEV RS is on sale in Australia with a modest facelift and no mechanical changes, but the hybrid sedan's price has risen by $1,000 and Honda's capped-price servicing now costs more.

Price rises to $65,900 drive-away

Honda's 2027 Accord e:HEV RS is now orderable in Australia at $65,900 drive-away, which cenyavto.com reports is $1,000 more than the previous version of the single-variant hybrid sedan. Autoevolution.com, covering the same update, likewise reports a $1,000 increase over the 2026 model, though it does not publish an absolute figure. Both outlets describe the change as a price rise with few specification changes to offset it. 12

Under Honda Australia's agency sales model, national drive-away prices are set by the company rather than by dealers, so the headline figure represents the no-haggle cost of the car. Honda's Low Price Service program was introduced alongside that model switch in 2021, as CarExpert has previously detailed. 3

A light-touch facelift

The visual changes are subtle. Autoevolution.com reports Honda has replaced gloss-black lower body trim and headlight surrounds with body-colour pieces, swapped the silver insert in the lower front bumper for a black one, deleted the amber reflectors from the front lights and removed the blue outlines from exterior badges, while the e:HEV lettering stays on the boot lid. Cenyavto.com's account of the update matches these details. 12

Inside, the most visible change is red stitching throughout the cabin, which cenyavto.com notes appears on the transmission selector, with the rest of the interior carried over. Neither outlet identifies any new standard equipment; autoevolution.com explicitly states there is no additional kit to soften the price increase. 12

Equipment and specifications carry over

Standard equipment continues to include a 12.3-inch central touchscreen with embedded Google services, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, an 11.5-inch head-up display, a 12-speaker Bose audio system, a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree cameras and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as reported by autoevolution.com and cenyavto.com. 12

Mechanically nothing changes: the 2.0-litre four-cylinder hybrid retains outputs of 135kW and 335Nm driving the front wheels, with claimed combined consumption of 4.3L/100km on the ADR 81/02 test cycle, per autoevolution.com's specifications and cenyavto.com's report. Autoevolution.com also flags that heated front seats remain absent, an omission it criticises at this price point. 12

Ownership costs move against the Accord

Separate from the model update, Honda Australia has raised capped-price servicing for all new petrol and hybrid models by 40 per cent, from $199 to $279 per scheduled service, for vehicles purchased on or after October 1, 2026, according to CarExpert. The first five services for models including the Accord now total $1,395, up from $995, and this is the first increase to the program since 2022. 3

There is also a discrepancy over Honda Connect. Autoevolution.com reports the complimentary subscription on the 2027 Accord has been cut from five years to three, whereas a Honda Australia statement published by CarExpert in its servicing story says all models across the range receive five years of complimentary Honda Connect, alongside five-year roadside assistance and a five-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty extendable to eight years with Honda servicing. The apparent conflict between the two reports is unresolved in the available coverage. 13

Competitive and market context

Autoevolution.com frames the updated Accord against the Toyota Camry, which has been exclusively four-cylinder hybrid in Australia since 2024, noting the Accord's 4.3L/100km claim trails the Camry by 0.3L/100km on the same test basis. Cenyavto.com adds that the Accord plays a niche role locally: the eleventh-generation model arrived only in 2024, and dealers sold just 59 examples from the start of 2026, in the year the nameplate marks 50 years since its 1976 debut. 12

Naming and future direction

GoAuto reports Honda has confirmed its next-generation hybrid system will be badged and marketed simply as Honda Hybrid, replacing the e:HEV label currently worn by local models, with a global introduction from 2027 and 15 new hybrid models planned by the end of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2030. Honda has not said which of those models will come to Australia or when, though Honda Australia's director of automotive Robert Thorp told GoAuto in April that hybrid sales grew 35 per cent in 2025 and that the company forecasts hybrids will make up 80 per cent or more of its local sales in 2026. 4

Separately, CarExpert reports Honda Australia director Robert Thorp said a "whole host of models" is under consideration for Australia across 2027 and 2028, without confirming specifics, while the current Accord continues to be supplied from Thailand. 5
