Confirmed pricing and the new line-up structure

Audi Australia has announced pricing and specification for the updated Q4 e-tron range, with first deliveries scheduled for the first half of 2027. As reported by CarExpert, the range opens with a new Q4 e-tron 150kW in both SUV and Sportback body styles at $71,650 before on-road costs, a $13,000 reduction against the outgoing Q4 45 e-tron. The Q4 e-tron quattro SUV starts from $81,650 and the Sportback quattro from $83,250, both $24,250 cheaper than the Q4 55 e-tron quattro variants they replace. GoAuto's reporting puts the same price cuts at $13,250 for the rear-drive SUV and $24,250 for both quattro variants. All figures are Manufacturer List Pricing excluding dealer delivery and government statutory charges. 43

A notable change is that the SUV and Sportback now share identical pricing in rear-drive form, which zecar notes is the first time both body styles have been priced the same in Australia, breaking the usual premium charged for coupe-style derivatives that GoAuto highlighted. The numerical 45 and 55 badges have been dropped, with the range now simply split between the rear-drive Q4 e-tron and the dual-motor Q4 e-tron quattro. 635

Audi says the updated models deliver up to $20,000 of enhanced overall value for customers through added equipment. Managing director-level commentary came from Audi Australia director Jeff Mannering, who said the range "punches well above its weight" in technology and appointment, and represents "an even more compelling gateway to the brand's all-electric line-up". 436

The 150kW entry model: less power, smaller battery, lower price

The lower entry price is not a straight discount on the existing car. GoAuto reports the new rear-drive version steps down to a 150kW/350Nm rear-mounted electric motor from the 210kW/545Nm output of the outgoing Q4 45 e-tron, with gross battery capacity falling from 82kWh to 63kWh (59kWh usable). Audi Australia has confirmed DC charging at up to 160kW, good for a claimed 10 to 80 per cent recharge in as little as 27 minutes. 34

No Australian WLTP range figure has been published for the entry model. CarExpert notes Audi Australia has not confirmed local range, while quoting 391–451km on the European WLTP cycle depending on specification. Audi's own international material lists 440km for the SUV and 451km for the Sportback; these are overseas figures, not confirmed Australian test results, so buyers should await final local certification before comparing range. 425

Standard equipment on the entry grade is substantial: 19-inch alloy wheels, Matrix LED headlights with digital daytime running lights, heated and folding exterior mirrors, an electric tailgate with gesture control, leather-appointed heated and electrically adjustable front seats with four-way lumbar support and driver memory, three-zone climate control and ambient lighting. Technology includes the 12.8-inch MMI touchscreen, 11.9-inch Virtual Cockpit Plus, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a suite of two cooled wireless phone chargers new to the Q4 line, and the full Audi connect plus connectivity package, which CarExpert notes was not previously available on the Q4 e-tron. 146

Quattro variants: more power, more range, faster charging

The Q4 e-tron quattro retains the larger 82kWh gross (77kWh usable) battery and gains a 250kW dual-motor drivetrain. Audi Australia lists 134Nm from the front motor and 545Nm at the rear, with a claimed 0–100km/h time of 5.4 seconds. WLTP range rises to 494km for the SUV and 509km for the Sportback, up from 488–503km previously. Maximum DC charging increases from 175kW to 185kW, keeping the claimed 10–80 per cent time at 27 minutes despite the larger battery, with preconditioning available automatically or manually. 436

Quattro variants add progressive steering and selectable damper control, the S line exterior package with revised bumpers, a body-coloured Singleframe grille and 20-inch Audi Sport alloy wheels, plus an interior S line treatment with sport seats, black headlining and an augmented-reality head-up display. Buyers can also option a 12-inch passenger-side display, which Audi describes as the largest passenger screen it currently offers, with a masking function to keep content from distracting the driver while moving. GoAuto reports this display is new to the facelifted range. 143

One discrepancy in third-party figures is worth noting: some listings, including the evee guide, quote the quattro at 250kW and 679Nm, while Audi Australia's confirmed outputs are 134Nm front and 545Nm rear. Separately, Audi's international launch material for the revised Q4 family describes a broader overseas line-up including 220kW quattro variants with up to 573km of range, which differs from the two-variant Australian line-up announced here; those overseas specifications should not be read as local offerings. 514

Safety, parking technology and platform limits

Driver assistance equipment is extensive across the range. Standard items include adaptive cruise assist plus with emergency assist, side assist with exit warning, front and rear cross-traffic assistance, swerve and turn assist, front emergency braking, proactive occupant protection and camera-based traffic-sign recognition. The revised parking system brings 3D and 360-degree cameras, trained parking and reverse assist, which Audi says can automatically retrace a previously driven path for up to 50 metres when reversing. 143

GoAuto notes the Q4 continues on the Volkswagen Group's MEB platform with a 400-volt electrical architecture, and that Audi has ruled out converting the current-generation Q4 to an 800-volt system due to the extent of hardware changes required. That leaves maximum charging of 160kW and 185kW behind the 300kW-plus capability of some newer rivals. GoAuto also reports further development is under way, including a higher-output version above the 250kW quattro and work on a lithium-iron-phosphate battery for lower-cost versions, though these are understood developments rather than confirmed Australian plans. 3

Availability, ordering and ownership context

Quattro variants are available to order now through the Audi dealer network, with customers who place an order during 2026 receiving a complimentary six-year/90,000km service plan as a pre-launch offer. zecar reports Audi Australia has not yet confirmed ordering details for the rear-drive Q4 e-tron, saying that information "will follow shortly". Both body styles and drivetrains arrive in Australian showrooms during the first half of 2027. 146

Both rear-drive variants sit below the $75,000 vehicle price threshold applying to changes to the Federal Government's Electric Car Discount from 1 April 2027, which GoAuto reports preserves the full fringe benefits tax exemption for qualifying EVs under that figure. GoAuto also noted Audi has acknowledged government incentives were among the considerations behind the repositioning. 3

Ownership coverage includes a five-year unlimited-kilometre new vehicle warranty and 12 years of manufacturer warranty against body corrosion perforation, with zecar noting complimentary Audi Experience membership for the warranty period. For market context, GoAuto reports Audi sold 939 Q4 e-trons in 2025, making it the brand's top-selling EV, while 216 deliveries were recorded in the first seven months of 2026 as stock ran down ahead of the updated model. Against rivals, the entry Q4's $71,650 before on-road costs sits close to competitors such as the Tesla Model Y Long Range and Zeekr 7X, while zecar notes the Q4's closest premium rival, the BMW iX3, starts at $109,900. 63

An additional capability flagged for the updated range is bidirectional charging. Audi's international announcement describes the revised Q4 as the first Audi model to support bidirectional charging, including a vehicle-to-load function via a socket in the boot or an adapter at the charging port, with vehicle-to-home limited to certain European markets. Evee's guide notes independent Australian reporting identifies vehicle-to-load capability for the updated quattro, but buyers should confirm local hardware and operating limitations before treating it as a deciding feature. 25
